This report exposes advisors’ perceptions of currently available retirement income solutions. It is based on focus group research and interviews with advisors were Credo asked advisors to speak about how, when and why they use retirement income instruments. Extensive advisor discussions focused on GMWBs, PPNs and “reverse wraps” or managed SWiPs.
Advisors discussed the merits and the weaknesses of these instruments, explaining how they fit (and/or don’t fit) into their current business models. On the back of the information contained in this research report, Credo’s clients will be well positioned to develop the next generation of retirement income solutions.
